2010 Trek Navigator 1.0

Last Updated on May 25, 2023 by FAB Jim The Cyclist

This is my rather handsome 2010 Trek Navigator 1.0 that I purchased new.

It’s been a really great bike and have not had any issues with it.  My go to for any family rides.  It is a comfort/hybrid bike with a nice upright riding position. I bought this when I thought my serious riding days were done due to back problems. Read this for how I fixed my back.

Here are some of the specs:

TIG-welded Alpha aluminum frame

High tensile steel fork

Tektro V brakes and levers

Gripshift MRX

Tourney rear derailleur, 7 speeds

Bontrager Suburbia saddle

26” wheels Bontrager 550, 36-hole rims

26 x 1.95″ Bontrager Comfort

Always a joy to ride and probably more comfort than hybrid as I wouldn’t do much off-roading with it.  I feel like the styling goes back to some of the vintage bikes and it even has a nice badge on the front.  I have mine all decked out with a Topeak Explorer rack and MTX bag.  Super useful for carrying stuff.  I also have Topeak lights and a Mirrycle mirror, plus a bell to get people out of the way when I go to pass.  Check out some more eye candy:

Not a fast race bike, but great for cruising. Think I might add some fenders, what do you think?

I would love to post images and info of your favorite rides. Send a picture and make/model/year info to bikerjima@gmail.com. I will likely resize the image a bit. Also be sure to let me know what name you want to use in the post. Waiting excitedly for your submissions.

  1. I’m a big fan of fenders — essential for riding around town on rainy / muddy days.
