Sunset Bike Trail Peninsula State Park Wisconsin Pictures

Last Updated on July 17, 2021 by FAB Jim The Cyclist

I recently went to Door County in Wisconsin and went for a bike ride through the beautiful Peninsula State Park.  The Sunset bike trail is about 10 miles long and goes through the park with lots of great scenic views.  It even takes you past the historic Eagle Bluff Lighthouse.  Some of the path is paved, but much is gravel.  I went with my family so it’s a pretty good route even for kids as long as they can handle 10 miles.  The elevation gains are moderate so there is never a huge climb all at once.  We went after it had been raining for days and the trail was still in good condition with few puddles.  I think pictures are better than words so enjoy the views!

There are two places to rent bikes from right at the entrance to the park if you don’t want to bring your own bikes.  We rented from Nor Door Cyclery as I didn’t have room for bikes and our luggage.  Bikes worked great!

The park also has camping, hiking, mountain bike trails, a beach….
