I found myself in the market for a new headlight and wanted to find one that lit up the road well. Most of the lights I have used are much more so cars see me rather than really lighting the way. Searching around I landed on the Rockbros 1000 light as the lumens, mounting, and price all seemed to match my needs. I’ve had it for a few months, and it has met my expectations well. Here are some pictures:
Mounting
I originally mounted it on a bike with extra brake levers on the drop bars which made space tight. The mount fit nicely between the levers and the stem. Mount works kind of like a Garmin twist mount and holds the light very securely while still being easy to remove and mount for charging. Mount was easily installed on bars with just one bolt.

What’s included
Comes with 2 different mounts. One mount is for the bars and the other can be used to mount under a computer. The bar mount works great. Also comes with charger.
Performance
Road is very well lit on the high setting, much better than I am used to. It also has lower settings that work well if you want to save some battery life and a flashing option. You have to hold the button for a couple seconds to turn it on and then clicking the button again changes the setting. To get it to flash you press the button twice fast after turning it on. It can really shoot out far and let you see anything on the road which gives you time to avoid. Much better than cheaper lights I have used.
Battery life
On the highest setting it is supposed to last about 2 hours, I haven’t timed mine but that seems about right. Medium setting which is still quite bright is about 3 hours. The power button will start flashing when it is getting low.
Rating
I’m giving this one 5 stars. It has met my expectations well and I really like the brightness and how well I can see the road. Mount also holds it nice and secure so it’s not falling off. Performance and price are both good and Rockbros products have always proved good so far.
