I’ve been doing a lot of mountain biking lately, so I decided to upgrade my rather old mountain bike. After shopping around for a few weeks, I landed this great looking 2021 Giant Talon 2 in Red Clay. Really like the color, and it’s got most all the modern features I was looking for. It has 27.5” wheels with nice wide tires, 1 x 9 drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes, wide 30.7” handlebars, and a short stem. Have a look:

Here are some of the details:
1 x 9 Microshift Advent derailleur with clutch, and trigger pro shifter
Giant 27.5 alloy wheels with double walls
WTB Vigilante front tire 2.3” and Maxxis Ardent 2.25” rear tire
ALUXX-Grade Aluminum Frame
Tektro TKD143 hydraulic disc brakes
SR Suntour XCT30 front shock
Front Rear
So far, I really like the bike and it seems well made. Very different than what I’m used to however, so it was a bit awkward at first. But after a few rides I’m getting comfortable and like it all. The 27.5” tires with wide tread go over the bumps nicer than I’m used to. The 1 x 9 drivetrain simplifies shifting and seems to have plenty of gears for off road. Looking forward to me next ride.
