ATOZI Alloy Headset Spacer Kit Silver 28.6 Review

Last Updated on December 27, 2021 by FAB Jim The Cyclist

For my new build I decided some silver spacers would look good, but they were a little challenging to find.  Seems like most of the kits I found were just 4 spacers which I thought might not be enough.  This kit includes 6: 2, 3, 5, 10, 20, and 30mm.  They are a nice silver alloy just as I was hoping for.  Here are some images:

What are threadless headset spacers?

They go on the steerer tube and are used to adjust the height of your handlebars.  You can put them under your stem to raise the bars or under to lower the bars.  This kit is for a 28.6 mm steerer tube or 1 1/8″.

Height Test

My caliper confirms they are all very close to the advertised height.  Only off by like .01mm for smaller sizes and .05mm for the biggest.  Seem to be plenty close for this type of item.

Weight Test

As you can imagine they are really light.  My postal scale only weight in increments of 5 so the entire set weighs about 45 grams.  By comparison I see a carbon spacer set with 2, 3, 5, 10, 15, and 20 weighing an advertised 25 grams.  Given the different sizes in each set I would say the weight is pretty similar.

Here is a picture of some of them installed:

If I decide the bars are too high, I would but a smaller spacer under the stem and then stack more on top of the stem.  I’ll be moving them around as I try to get the right fit.    You can get these nice spacers at Amazon:
