I needed some 700c wheels that have a vintage look and can take some wider tires and landed on these. They are silver and not too deep which I think delivers an old school look. They also have 36 spokes which is more vintage and hopefully leads to no broken spokes. I had to buy them separately as I couldn’t find a set for sale that I liked. They are a pretty good match except for the skewers, but I have others I am planning to use, so that’s not a problem for me. They both have Weinmann Zac 19 double wall rims. I didn’t realize that Wheel Master builds these in the USA, so that’s nice to see. To complete my old school look I went with Schrader valves, but they have presta versions and there are the inserts for converting too. The same wheels are available in black.
Front
The highlight of the front wheel seems to be the DT Swiss spokes. The hub is a generic, but nicely silver Wheel Master MT5000. Seems to spin nice and is true. Should serve me well.

The Shimano TX500 hub is probably the highlight of the rear wheel. Glad it doesn’t have a more generic one, as I don’t want issues. Seems to spin fine and the rim is true.

I just put a ZAC19 REAR on a Giant escape 3. Love it. Doing the whole drive train with mostly stock parts, crank and BB is the finish, I know I should do it all at once, but it’s my daily commuter for work, just 2 weeks apart, plus needed groceries 😉😊🤪
Glad it’s working well for you!
