This is a classic vintage Raleigh cruiser, the Sports!
If you have never ridden a Sports, you should, they have so much charm and a smooth ride. It has a lugged steel frame with 26” tires. Raleigh’s were known as the all-steel bike, and this one is all steel with cottered steel cranks and rims. Rear hub is a Sturmy Archer 3-speed which seem to last forever. This one has a dyno hub in the front for powering lights. I wish more modern bikes would come with some sort of dyno hub so we could charge our many electronics while riding. The older bikes like this one have the full chainguard. Saddle is a classic leather Brooks. On the downtube you can see hooks that would have held a pump which is no longer there.
Many of these bikes were made because they were such great bike. My 1974 Sports isn’t all that different from this one, they hit on a great design and made it for many years. A real classic bike.
